KOCE-TV's Annual Student Mock Broadcast and Tour

Over 72 students from local high schools came to KOCE's studio on January 15th to learn about Television production from KOCE's own staff. The students listened to presentations by KOCE's own Ed Arnold and Real Orange's executive producer Mike Taylor among others. After a quick training session on the use of equipment by KOCE staff, the students were able to participate in the production of a mock news broadcast. During a provided lunch everyone enjoyed watching a DVD of the production.

After attending the event Bryon Brook from Huntington Beach High School said "I think it would be exciting to work in such a fast paced job." Bryon is taking a video production class and is interested in going into the field.

Jenna Park from Costa Mesa High School said "I want to work in the industry because it is something new everyday and I like a job that has variety."

Erik Jolly from Westminster High School said " I liked everything about the
day because the presenters were all interesting and important.
