INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The KOCE-TV Promotion & Fundraising Departments are seeking interns for the Fall semester to assist with Marketing and Fundraising. These are hands-on positions and successful candidates will leave the program with a highly developed skill set and portfolio pieces.
Online Marketing/Social Media/Public Relations
Assists Director of Marketing with maintaining our web presence; including online video player, social media, and weekly e-newsletter. Sharp writing and design skills a must. Knowledge of Facebook and Twitter a must. Knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop a plus.
Sales/Marketing/Research & Fundraising
This person will work with our Director of Corporate/Foundation Relations on prospect research, creation of proposals, sales packages and materials, prospecting, and will go on sales calls with our reps when and where appropriate. Microsoft Office skills a must.
Events and Public Relations (2 Positions)
These individuals will assist our staff at station/community events, providing material and information on the station, interacting with the public, collecting registrations and assisting with the planning and execution of station events. Must be web savvy, social, and professional.
Education Outreach/Marketing
This person will work with our Director of Educational Services on Marketing, outreach activities, and prospecting of schools for the KOCE Classroom program. Must be web savvy, social, and professional with sharp writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Graphic Design a plus.

Qualifications:
College students must be currently enrolled and qualify for class credit. The intern position is unpaid.
Majors in Business, Design, Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations preferred.
Must be web savvy with well-honed writing skills, and an understanding of public television and non-profit organizations. Ideal candidates will have experience working in an office setting, but not required.
Must be available for 150 hours over the course of the semester. Typical schedule is 15 hours a week for 10 weeks, although alternate arrangements can be made.
