KOCE-TV is committed to educating our community about environmental issues. We help to educate and inform our viewers through shows such as "Nature," "NOVA," as well as producing our own local programs such as "The Friendly Whales." We also use our local news show, "Real Orange" to report on Orange County environmental issues such as the Bolsa Chica wetlands and the Great Park.
KOCE-TV has expanded our environmental outreach efforts through our KOCE Classroom educational program to work with hands on with organizations like the Ocean Institute, the Wyland Foundation, Discovery Science Center, etc. Orange County teachers can also download environmental videos through Discover Education Streaming, and are also learning about our recent environmental public service announcements during their KOCE Classroom trainings.
Below are links to some of the recent public service announcements focused on teaching our youth about marine preservation and conservation. KOCE-TV produced these announcements in partnership with the Ocean Institute, National Science Foundation, and Orange County Community Foundation. These announcements are currently airing on KOCE-TV, and in an effort to bring this message of marine conservation to as many people as possible we would love you to forward these links to anyone you feel may be interested.
Thank you for helping KOCE-TV and our partners bring awareness to these environmental issues.
