KOCE Classroom, formally Telecommunication of Orange County (TOC), began in the mid-seventies as a resource to aid teaching through television and video-based instructional learning and has additionally evolved into teaching students how to create, produce, and broadcast videos. With the emergence of the web, KOCE Classroom in partnership with Disocvery Streaming offers teachers and students opportunities to download online videos, clips, speeches, audio, and images.
KOCE classroom now serves over 400,000 students in 614 Orange County schools. This is a 100% increase from the 180,000 students served by KOCE Classroom in 2005. Last school year, KOCE Classroom schools, teachers, and students viewed a record 538,160 educational content resources through the partnership with Disocvery Streaming.
